What would you pay for this SO Toolbox?

I don't like the special edition boxes. Much harder to sell because you have to find someone who likes that theme. Because I buy to sell I won't pay as much but if I needed that set (you only list the botton) and was hunting I'd say 2500 would be a decent price. While you see them on ebay for more money most don't sell. Look under the completed auctions and you can get a better idea. If it was a nice clean red, black or blue box with no graphics I'd do 3K for the pair. The 761/791 combo is a nice size. Big but not too big

I shoulda said upfront this box was in an auction I went to. MHS, I could not find all the numbers for the set (since it's a little older). I agree the SE boxes are a narrow interest group, but this one was well executed without being gaudy. If I had more allowance money it probably woulda came home with me. I think some coin could be made on this one for what it sold for. I'll post the price later if anyone is interested.

Yeah I'm curious on the price. For resale I would have paid 2K with the busted lock. I would have removed the grapics, installed new lock and blown them out for 3K

And they had a hard time getting that much out of it.

It's hard to sell a newer Snap-On box at auction. Not many people in the crowd have that kind of cash to drop on a tool box, Ebay is the better spot for that because they normally have 7 days to get up the money. Had it been a Craftsman they would have paid more than MSRP for it. Weird stuff happens at public auction. The money 1870.00 was about right. hard to tell without being right on it
