What years did Snap-on make tool boxes in Canada?

From what I can find, Snap-on made KRA tool boxes in Newmarket Ontario Canada. I have seen Canadian made Kra top tool chests from the mid to late 1980s and the quality is quite good. But I cannot find on the internet what years they produced tool boxes in Canada. Any thoughts? Thanks

I would like to know too, also they went from rounded corners to square corners at some point

My KRA4107/KRA4114 has the rounded corners

I think my box is from 91, not sure. Here is the serial number. It’s not stamped into the box but a sticker in a drawer.

I've got a KRA roll cab that says Made in Canada on the sticker. It's got one of the older locks on it.

Yeah I've got a KRA58F with a 1985 date code so definitely mid '80s and possibly earlier.

IIRC the canadian plants closure was posted on here so a search of the forum might find that end date.

This on is a KRA 55 I believe, made in Canada. 3 drawer from the '80s

Sounds like Snap-on was making tool boxes in Canada in the 1960s, but I do not know if it was the same facility.

Your box is a kc 506 manufactured in 1980.
the logo is painted on instead of the badge because its an anniversary edition.
I have the same box at work, really sturdy unit.

I had this in another thread. Maybe I can generate some interest here. I'm not able to find this top box in any catalogue, vintage or otherwise. I know someone suggested maybe this was a Canadian made box. From what I can find, they simply don't exist in this configuration. It is 8 drawer with double/split front door. Any ideas appreciated. I see the stamp in the above post, very plain to see, but I'm not sure where I'd look to find it. Nothing on the sides or back. Thanks.
