So I picked up my first Snap on screw driver, it's a hard handle ratcheting job in orange. Unfortunately it didn't come with any bits...What are the toughest bits or the ones least likely to cam out (for Phillips).

I know others will think IM crazy...but I have been using some of my PBswiss bits in my SO ratcheting driver...been working really good! They bite good so far for me.

Congrats on the new driver!

Apex bits are the best that I've used. Alex71 has some for sale in the classified section. Snap-on bits are also very good. Zephyr is the OEM for them.

most bits are fine, one with a warranty is even better.
make sure you get a sdm222cz (snap on) most dealers do not carry this bit, but those that do sell a ton of the little things. they are a narrow nose #2 that fits down deep in the head of the screw.
I sell a lot of irwin bit sets.

As others have said, there are many good bits out there. With respect to a Phillips bit, I would look for one that is an ACR Phillips design. A bit that is an ACR design will bite into the screw head better, so that you will be able to remove the tough fasteners. There are many companies that make them, I went with the ones from Snap On, because the price was really pretty reasonable.

Apex bits are designed for industrial use so they are hard to beat.I've used them when driving hundreds of screws a day doing trailer repairs. Most others don't stand up to that kind of abuse.
