I'm about to be rebuilding the engine in my banshee, and some of the torque specs are about 5-7 ft lbs, I really want the snapon qd2fr75 5-75 ft.lbs. But I can't swing the 290 price tag right now. And I'm scared to death to buy a used one on ebay unless it's spotless, but they always get ran so far up that I might as well get a new one. So what's a good one for the $, No harbor freight stuff tho..

5 ft-lbs is 1/4" territory. Torque wrenches are accurate down to 20% of sale. In this case 20% of 25 ft-lbs (max rating) is 5 ft-lbs. So you'd need to find one from 5-25 ft-lbs.

Personally, I didn't have luck with the Precision Instruments split beam. I would find a straight up beam style in 1/4 and 3/8, it will keep costs low and allow you great accuracy and consistency.

I'm just worried if I get a HF one and it isn't calibrated right or something, and either not getting bolts tight enough or too tight. I haven't had good luck with HF tools before.
