Who makes good torque wrenches ?. Which kind do you prefer the click type or electronic ?. I've only used the old kind with the needle type marking. Any suggestions would be great. I'm getting ready to start building a SBC engine.

Thanks,
Ed

I have a snap on split beam, works great and you can hear the click really well, very loud(50-250 lbs). Haven't tried a tech angle, but I am only a weekend wrencher, so that is a lot of money for me to spend to get used once a year or less..

I like my Snap-on Techwrench since I can easily go between in-lb, ft-lb, and N-m. I've been eye'ing the Tech-Angle for a while now and will probably get one later this year.

I thought that the torque wrenches at Home Depot and Lowe's were interesting since they state "Lifetime Warranty" on the package. I dont own either of them, so I cant say anything about their durability. However, you could probably get a new one every year by claiming its out of calibration (they would never check), or by "breaking" it, of course YMMV.
