problems posting a couple of things ... and now taking a phone picture is causing issues.

Seems apple is using HEIC ... Forum will not upload a HEIC.

When I do a conversion to a PDF -- that gets kicked as well

It's a 'container' file for images that is supposed to be high quality yet use a reduced file size. It's an Apple thing...

High Efficiency Image Container

Looks like you could use one of the websites to convert to a .jpg for you

Also know as "High Efficincy File Format", HEIF (this is what is inside of a HEIC).

Images sent between iPhones using text use it. The only way to get those images off of your phone is to mail it to yourself and then send it to a website that does conversion.

It is supposed to be better than JPG/JPEG but it is not widely supported. According to Wikipedia "As of March 2021, no browser supports HEIC natively."

you can change that to compatible... in your phone. for any future pics/videos taken.

Setting --> Camera --> Format --> Most Compatible...

The iphone 12 default to HEIC format... it's annoying when sending those to others that doesn't have HEIC...

The latest version of irfanview supports it with it's plugins as well.. it's free. you can convert them if you wanted to other formats.
