It is used to release the anti reverse mechanism and adjust the brakes on air brake systems equpiped with meritor or style slack adjusters. It make it alittle easier than fumbling around with a screwdriver and 5/16 wrench.

I have the same set and bought it from my mac guy for about that same price. Not that great of a deal.

The release tool is a helluva lot more useful than using a flat head. The 5/16'' wrench isnt 100% necessary thou.

I have that same set. I got it on sale but don't remember how much. They do work easier than a screw driver and ratchet though. I keep them in a small tool box with a few other things for doing PM's.
