When it snowing, raining or just plain dark outside and the garage is the best place to be, what do you get up to? Have you just started a project or progressed one and you haven’t updated the thread for a while?

Then stop being a hermit and let us all know, just post it up here, or start / revive your project thread and post the link here.
:)

I dropped off my block to my machine shop last Thursday. It is coming back to me as a blue printed and balanced 383 forged shortblock.

I am redoing the suspension on my vette. Adjustable front spring, poly bushing, new sway bars and ball joints.

I built a new quick jack for the racer this past weekend, with the able assistance of my crew chief.

Pic below of the old steel one next to the new aluminum one. The wider tires, alloy wheels and lighter, stiffer construction make it worth about a half-second per lap, in my estimation :)

Staging and materials for wide varieties of home improvement projects, right now. An '82 RX7 with the front bumper and passenger fender off, waiting on me to find a better fender and shoot some primer on it. A bunch of boxes and plastic totes full of Christmas decorations, until we get our attic stairs put in...

I haven't spent much time down there or on the project car lately- too much other home-improvement junk going on.

Mostly cleaning & reorganizing since I installed the second 4 post lift & had to move things around. The next few things for my cars though, will be to clean & paint the new axle housing for my '71 Scamp. I have a lowly 7-1/4" rear in it with a 2.76 ratio, & now have an 8-3/4" rear with a 3.23 ratio & a sure grip unit all rebuilt & ready to go in. Rear swap, new stainless steel brake lines & brakes, have the drive shaft cut & balanced, then a new exhaust, then some long overdue cruising. :bounce:

Ramblur,
Love the stool (seen in the 2nd pic). Did you buy that or make it yourself?

The in-laws got me that for Christmas 2 yrs. ago. Thinking it was
made by Larkin or something close to that.

Built Rover 4.0 V8 w/5-speed ready to go in my '79 MGB

Aw c'mon, call it what it is: a Buick 215! Man you are really keeping the flame alive down there in AL Tony!
My sportscar addiction was born the night my 20 yr old uncle finished swapping the 215 into his Austin Healy 100-4, and took me for a ride. Post some results once you get it in, ok?

Trying to do the sheet metal work on my 53 Chevy pickup. I'm doing good, but very slow. I think I'm spending to much time looking at it and not enough time working on it.

I joined the forum, way back when......the garage is pretty much the same 24x24, only far more cluttered and used!

My Unimog looks like this now, after fabbing up new folding sides and tailgate

And.... I had a '48 Willys Jeep, but it magically turned into this: a 1950 Studebaker Champion Starlight Coupe

I'm currently looking for another project.... don't know what yet..... maybe a motorcycle?
