Chamfer.

You can for the vertical corners, not sure on the top edge. I'd trowel those.

We do it all the time, industry standard, we add a chamfered piece of wood called skuback. It’s nailed vertical and horizontal, the top is set to grade and trowel to it. Most agencies we work for have it in their spec.

Thanks! I had it in my head that renegade meant he made a cut on the form, but in my head it needed to be additive, which it is. I get it now.

It may be a regional thing but we always called it cant strip or possibly spelled kant strip. This is in Michigan with many years of commercial construction lots of multiple yard pours.

It is no more difficult to pour in place that way than to precast. As mentioned earlier it's standard in industry.
