I went to a swap meet here in Houston yesterday and in amongst all the geniuses trying to pawn off Harbor Freight tools for more than HF sells them for  I actually found something I was looking for.
It is a Famco model E press. I cannot find a decent price that I should have paid for this thing anywhere. I know I got a smoking deal on it but I'd like to know how much of a deal. Any leads? I can't find a Model E price anywhere on Google.

New USA made arbor press are nutso high, but I don't really take those prices into acount when figuring what a used one is worth. Personally I kinda apply the $1 a lbs formula for vises to arbor presses. I've been watching for a nice ratcheting one because I guess I want one. I havn't found one, but the few normal size, best I can tell USA arbors have ranged from $75 to $150. They are the kinda tool that is not valuable to many people other then the guy who wants one. Why would most people buy a one or two ton arbor press for $150 when you can buy a 20 HF for that? Thats the thinking that gets you good deals.

Thats a nice little press and should come in handy. Couldn't find a price on a E but similar used Famco presses on Ebay are in the $75 - $125 range. Good score!
