Hello everyone-
I haven't seen a thread on this, so, what's on your walls? Street signs, neon or lighted shop signs? Anything cool?

I don't have much yet, as I'm still working on my wall finish.

Is this a similar thread? Should these threads be combined?

One Wall I hung a TV up and some skateboards/longboards the other wall- half of it is covered from stuff and some tool organizer I made out of wood with like 3 license plates and the other wall is covered by the shelves. Fairly plain otherwise

Chimney Rock sign caught my eye as I can see it from my front porch. Wish they still did the hill climb.
The flag banners and the Yokohama signs were over the entrance gate at the last hillclimb. I scaled the wall to take them down on the last day. I always went to the hillclimb. The park was always privately owned. Prior to the last hillclimb, the owner passed away. I spoke to his son, the new owner during the last hillclimb. He said he was going to stop allowing the hillclimb. He said he had no interest in motorsport and the hillclimb was too much of a liability to the racers and the spectators for him to continue. The Morse family worked with North Carolina. Now the park is owned by the state.

I am holding back from decorating until after I put up drywall. I have quite a few license plates to throw up on the walls.

That's a great piece of racing to have on the wall. Nice!
Thank you! It meant a lot coming from the crew mechanics.
I don’t really have a favorite driver. I just have mechanic friends on 4 or 5 teams that I root for.

Watching this thread as I need to up my car barn/garage wall art game. I did hang a 100" TV last week to replace the very small looking 65" that it came with. It's such a big wall that even the 100" TV does not look that big (still in the box in picture below)

Anyone know of a good place to get classic car art/memorabilia? I'm thinking old gas station enamel signs, gas pumps, old racing stuff, anything to do with Porsche/BMW/Ferrari from the 50s-90s...

Preferably large size because I have quite large walls and very high ceilings. Also must fit with the rustic barn look.

I watch FB Marketplace, eBay, and local auctions.

And word of mouth. Let family and friends know, they will look for the that kind of stuff.

Thanks, I have started poking around ebay mostly and found some stuff. There are also sites like garageart.com but those can get expensive. The other issue is I don't have much eye for decoration - or at least I know what I like or don't like when I see the finished product but I have a hard time imagining a clear vision in my head and executing it. I wish one could hire a garage decorator who would design the space and then source items. Maybe that exists?

I have posters and photos from the 60s and 70s when I went to lots of motorcycle races, drag races and road races (remember Meadowdale Raceway near Chicago?), later lots of motocross and hill climb stuff, and lots of concerts, but my walls are covered with racks of tools and pegboard and shelves, no room for posters or signs so they are waiting in boxes in the attic.

I've had good luck at Estate sales.

If you can find online files in higher resolution, you can have them made into "canvas" prints at Walmart/CVS/etc for pretty reasonable prices. And they don't have to be framed. That's what these are....I think in this size they were $40 on sale? Looks like 20x30's are $70. Not bad when you don't have to frame them.
