What's the maximum size folks are using for 3/8" impact sockets?

I am seeing sets from Snap On / Matco, etc up to 22-24mm / 1".

Honestly using a MG325 I can't see using more than 19mm / 3/4".

Maybe if I had one of those 600 ft-lb 3/8" guns the larger sizes come into play?

21 n 22 only because it's a common size for a certain model car I specialize in. And ya I got one of dem super whammy 3/8 impacts.

Sure, I use them up to 1" & 24mm, sometimes the smaller size will help you get stuff apart even if you have to break it loose with 1/2 drive tools. I wish snap on would take their 3/8s impact sockets and make a set in 1/2 drive. Maybe their power sockets are like that. I just like the size of them.

The reason I bought 3/8 impacts was due to clearance. My 3/8 deep impacts look like mid-depth compared to my 1/2 deep sockets.

TOPTUL tops out it's 3/8" impacts at 22mm. My Aircat pneumatic 3/8" impact can easily handle these.

My trucks lug nuts use 22mm sockets. A 3/8" impact worth owning should be able to remove "properly" installed/torqued lug nuts.

^^Yup like 36mm axle nuts ect... it works so why not.

19mm and 3/4 for reg use here. I go bigger with adapters all the time.

I have shallow and deep up to 24mm and 1". I have a 3/8 Nitrocat and It removes 24mm lug nuts with no difficulty. I rarely use my 1/2 impact anymore.

Love the SO 21mm mid length socket. I don't have to switch to 1/2" dr just to take lug nuts off. BTW: In the magnetic plastic socket holder the 21 will fit in the 19mm hole. I took the 18mm out and put the 19mm in it's spot.

I use 22mm regularly in 3/8" dr.

That is the largest I use in 3/8" dr. also.

1-1/8 with an adapter is the largest I have used with a 18v Makita 3/8 impact.
