Actually, I've got an old arrowhead laying around somewhere. I guess that would have to be the oldest tool that I have. Of course, it's buried in a box up in the attic somewhere..

I have a cobbler's hammer that was recovered from under the foundation of a house that was torn down in Montgomery, Alabama. The house had been erected in 1890 according to records. So, this hammer was under the house when it was built. Its just the head of the hammer. You can imagine the condition.

That old enough for ya?

I have a weird Snap On box wrench, looks like a closed end socket on either end, with a piece of 1/4" rod in between. 1/2-9/16 probably dates to the 20's, was my grandfather's, used it the other day when I couldn't find my short 14, gotta clean up the box. :lol_hitti

I have a couple woodworking tools (a sliding T-bevel and a try square) I got from my dad that are circa 1880. I still use them regularly.

Not sure if this is the oldest tool I have but it's one of them. It was made in Phil. PA. around 1870. It is one big old pipe cutter.

Other than forge tools, the oldest tool I own is an Elgin Adjustable Alligator Wrench.

The oldest tool a use regularly is a small pair of Vacuum Grip (pre-Snap-On) side cutters.

I have some old Blackhawk sockets and rachets that I think belonged to my great grandfather(?). They were given to my dad when he was young and he gave them to me when I was young. The rachet is made of sheet metal and you have to push the square drive thingie through to the other side to reverse the direction. They eventually got bumped down to my junkyard box, but now they just sit in a drawer.

I've got a 1928 air compressor. Other than that, my oldest tool is my Johnson, made in 1950, same as the rest of me. (and it's not a SnapOn)

I've got one of these from 1905... can't find a pic of the one I own. It's fully functional though missing that lower pulley.

This bandsaw is from 1910, the casting originally being from a company called Frank Clements, and this design being in there literature as early as the late 1890's.

Probably the Williams service wrench I found at a flea market. Bought it for $.50. Probably from the 40's or 50's.

I have Honda tools that came with my Honda 50 cc, when I was 15, in 1962. My oldest tools were given to me by my grandfather, who was a master mechanic for Amalgamated Sugar Company. I have no idea how old they are, but I got them in 1966 after he retired. Although I am not sure he knew that some of them ended up in my toolbox

My oldest tool is an anvil. It is a Wilkeyson Forge made in Dudley, England somewhere between 1850 – 1886. It weighs more than me at 236 pound.
The green stand with a pedal will lift the anvil by lowering wheels. This allows me to move it around easily.

I have and still use my Dad's 1929 Kwik-Way Valve grinder. It still makes a very nice valve face too.
