Whats the tool situation in the UK?

Well, no pictures of the workshop unfortunately. i just got laid off.

i was told that it's come to the end of my first 3 months of employment, and that they didn't have a space for me in the workshop, or the office. (which is bullsh*t because i'm one of three compretent techs, and they're employing 3 useless monkeys.) so i was told that at the end of the week, i'd be given my week's notice. i left about half an hour later.

So that's me out of a job. Spoken to a friend who works down the road, may have a job again by the end of the week.

And I'm right there with you... I though that with the end of the school year i'd get a little break... nope. People are already freaking about about next year... the **** storm never ends...

The summers are always busy for me, because that's when I can get into the classrooms and do major projects. This year is going to be crazy, because along with installing a ton of hardware in the buildings, we are being forced to do an upgrade on our student information system, which means I get to bring some new servers online and migrate everything over. I'm already losing sleep over the prospect of a catastrophic loss of data.

They just modified our calendar again, so the break will only be about 5 weeks.

I've noticed Franklin and Britool on ebay uk.

True & franklin can be found in most auto parts shops, cheap tools for people thats like fiddling with their cars. Some of the stuffs ok but i would never buy any of it.

Britool's good if you get the old stuff, got an old t-bar thats seen so much abuse been handed down father to son
