I would think in it's current state you are probably looking at maybe 100-150 and that's on the high side. Good luck.

I'd list it at $200 and see what happens. Don't take less than $150 for it though. Those boxes are extremely well built and as long as it's not dented and everything works okay, well worth it.

I'll give $150 for it and I can drive to OC to pick it up. Send me a pm if that sounds like a deal.

Man, I've been looking for something to use at home since I moved. Can no longer keep my things scattered about in several job-specific, unlocked boxes. I wish I was about 2500 miles closer to you. Real cool box that, if she's in good working condition, I'd probably offer you 100 on. If you were a tough negotiator I'd end up settling at around 150-175.

THAT said, in my experience (with craigslist, anyway), people see low prices on name brands associated with quality and automatically assume it's a lemon or something. Go high, 200+, and expect to get haggled. Let whoever you're dealing with do the work of knocking the price down. Usually works well for me.

Got the toolbox home today and I love it! I'm going to leave it just as it is. I'll clean it up a little and maybe wax it? Any ideas on the best way to preserve it the way it is? I love the history of an old box, reminds me of hanging out with my brother in 70's with him working on motorcycles.

It was great to meet another GJ member too! Jeff is a nice guy...

What do I know. I would decuct $5 for every sticker to start.
Old boxes are fun if you collect old things which I do .
The box has worn out slides and it needs a body job. Just think of all the money you could make in the same length of time it takes to restore the box. Not to mention the cost of primer and paint. Then you could put the money in the bank for your retiremnet plan. If you don't save every week you will end up poor!

To answer your question how to perserve it.
Build a hermetically sealed shed with climet control and put in a viewing window. Then you can charge a quarter a view to pay for the whole thing. LOL
