Recently got this setup plus the side boxes(front two with logo, back one without, all shelves) in a lot(also mystery box that looks like it's from the 50s but it's on its way out once I fix a bent slide for $20 already). Was going to use the KR-555C and KR-550(didn't check for letter yet because it's back is against a tractor but it's a matching 1984 set) but it's 4 inches too tall to open in my office(keep everything in there for the climate control, which is why it's only 83" tall for insulation, and locked door) so it'll be moving on along with the side boxes(can't justify tossing them on anything since I have limited space and they're just shelves).

Value is based on location quite a bit but I'm just looking for an estimate to start trying to send it all on it's way and get the shop space back before it's needed.

Any help would be appreciated.

Snap On top and bottom box in Denver usually is around $1,000. Yours because of condition around 750.00. Huot top box 50-75.
Side boxes are usually 75-100 each. The box that has two handles I don't recognize, and I would appreciate a pic with the doors open.

That sounds about right. Box is actually pretty clean, some gunk caked on here and there but no rust or dings so far. Going to clean it up so it might get closer to $1000 valuation hopefully.

Think the two with SO logos would probably get $75 around here if I can find someone with a box to match (or supply the box since I have a matching on my office). I think the third box isn't SO though, painted the same, looks the same inside, and has a mount for a toolbox but the door looks more like a utility van box.

I hadn't seen one before and thought it was a shadow box(peg board with tool shapes printed over for the body tools, pullers, or something else) in the advert.

Normal looking box mounts left(looking at box) while double door is either side. It mounts on the back so it's facing to the side either way.

In my area top and bottom box $1000.00, but in my eyes because of the condition $750.00 for both.
What specifically deteriorates the boxes value? I haven't started messing with it much yet but I didn't notice anything wrong except some grease and other stuff stuck on the bottom box and the top box has some dust caked on top.

Going to clean it up before it goes anywhere but a second set of eyes might help me notice something I didn't catch.

Well, yes. Cleaned it up, with well-lighted photos and then we can have an informed discussion.

jack vines, who spent three days cleaning some grease and other stuff stuck on some old Snap-on boxes he still owns.

Figured I was just missing something obvious like a kink or dent that they noticed in the pics.

Just did a snap on top and bottom along with another snap on top and craftsman bottom a few months ago and they took about a week for each set. Tops were fairly clean but SO bottom needed body work and Craftsman had a mouse nest and a gallon of grease in it. Personally, not too much fun especially on interiors. All those odd angles to try reaching a hard caked spot are a real back breaker.

I don't know the value. Pressure wash them, degrease them and then just run over them with a buffer. All 4 of the Snapons will go up in value by 5-700 as a group. Even the rusty one will go up. That paint is pretty oxidized and looks the shits.

I think we are looking at the bottom box as being rusted not caked on grease. So a good cleaning will help your cause. I really like the double door box. Hopefully you did well and can make some money. Happy New Years!

Anyone wondering what the double door side box is, I found the stamp(1978 KR-273).

Can't find the other side boxes(SO or unmarked in case the emblem got ripped off) stamp but the SO has a small top drawer in it I didn't know about(think some box models had the stamping in top drawers so I'll check it out later too).

(Forgot the removable shelf in side box, quite a bit of paint chipping on one corner though)

Here's some better pics of the setup after cleaning. Still have the other side box sitting for Monday. There is more paint loss than I thought but everything is in working order and waxed.

Top box just left for around $300 I think. $600 with a Snap On SAE flare nut wrench set, Snap On metric ratcheting wrench set(the old open gear style), Mac master tap and die set, Craftsman SAE tap and die set, and Snap On bit driver set. Plus the guy cleaned all the boxes for me and supplied his own wax, degreaser, rags, and buffers.
