I'm thinking about picking up this box... the owner says its a model #KRL1001. Don't know what kind of shape its in, but assuming its in good shape, what do you guys think?

This is the closest thing I can find on the SO site. Looks the same, and the dimensions match what the seller told me.. Model # doesn't.

Is it really a $7600 roll cab?

I believe its the older version of the krl1022. The main difference is that the newer version has 2 long drawers instead of just the top one. I bought mine (the newer krl1022) for $2600 with the stainless steel top, from a gj member (fatfillup) a few weeks ago. Love the box, great size. Whats the price he's asking?

I get that its not worth that used... I'm going to check it out today if they guy's around. If I buy it, I have no idea where I'm going to put it, but I might buy it anyway. Its about time for a garage rearrangement.

Go over it with a fine tooth comb: Look all over the box for any dents - pull open all the drawers and check the movement - check the locking mechanism - grab the side handle and see if it's tight.

As timchin1 said, I just sold him a KRL1022 with stainless top for $2600. and a similar box with only one large drawer for $2000 and no top. Depending on condition, $2000 to 2500 would be a good buy. For that money it should be clean inside and out and in very good shape. Expect some scratches and dings but not a lot. I have yet to see a perfect box, especially with a few years on them. Good luck and keep us posted.

No worries. I don't think anyone here would do that. It's all yours.

If you even whisper a word about passing on it though... that 's another story.:bounce:

Good deals don't last long enough to get internet confirmation of value. Don't forget a basic truth of all forums is that 100 people read them for every person that actually posts.

Kind of wonder how he got talked down to $1100 from $1300, cash persuades.

I've called on SO boxes 10 minutes after they were listed on CL and the seller said it was sold 5 minutes ago. You have to be REALLY fast to get deals on the craig.

When ever I see something that I know is a deal.I get a hold of the seller immidiately and make the deal happen.

Then go and talk about it on the Internet.

Thats why alot of the posters I see here miss out on decent deals.

I figure that they did not ever plan on making the purchase and just want the glory of talking about the rippen deal never to happen.

Yeah, I know all about craigslist deals. I've gotten plenty, even persuaded people to hold stuff for me until that evening (on a weekday, when I had to work FIRST) even though they didn't want to... This one just wasn't meant to be.

I got one email from the guy, then he disappeared for four days. Oh well, lots of boxes on craigslist right now, including another one just like that one, but in blue.
