Some kind of press?
Here is an unusual tool that was included in a bulk purchase of nearly a hundred lightly used and new taps and dies and handles.
I put a bamboo skewer through it to illustrate that it has a passageway all the way through it. The end that you tighten has internal threads as seen in the second pic. There is a threaded hole on the side of the clamp body for what I assume is the ability to put it on a stand or to rigidly install it in a larger assembly. Seen in the 3rd pic.
The only marking is script lettering “Pro”
I’ve never seen one of these in the wild, in a store, or in a catalog.
Is this a small part of a bigger tool?
Anybody have any wisdom to share??
Thanks in advance.
