I paid 230 for mine that's really close to that new and it wasn't a deal price. I'd go a Hundy

100 is not bad, it comes with a couple work benches that I don't really need. I'm going to throw an offer in and see what happens. So far the high bid is at $12.50 with 2 days left, wish me luck! Haha

Vette: that metal workbench has some good value ($100+-) if it's a thick gauge steel. i'd say you might be able to find that vise for $30-50 if you look hard in your area and if you have and haven't found any it's new counterparts sell for $120 and up and most are not built in the US like that one is.

Brand new one is $249 shipped (or $187.50 today only after coupons)

I'd say $75 + or - is fair. (excluding any value of the workbench)

Sure you can wait a few months/years and go to a couple thousand garage sales and find something much better/much cheaper but a lot a GJ members forget that some people have IMMEDIATE work to do with a tool!!

Vette,
Over the past few years I've bought those Wiltons consistently for around 30$. Restored and sold them for 120$ - 150$. They're a good utility vise.

I would buy at around $30-50, and sell at $70-90. I'm not a fan of the cast-in pipe jaws, so not a keeper for me.

+1 that not as desirable as other vises . . . due to permanent pipe jaws.

Value depends on what you're willing to pay for it !!! :D

different model and chinese. Not a bad vise though. US utility Wiltons bring decent money out here fwiw.

Thanks for all the info guys! I'm going to throw an offer on it and see what happens. The price is still very low so I might be able to get the whole lot for very cheap. I'll let you guys know what happens wednesday!

Vette: that Reed Meastsis found maybe in your area for $90 is a much better vise than the little Craftsman unless you are looking to keep the steel workbench too.

good luck
