I got one of these given to me by my employer a few years back, it has about 4 years of mon-fri shop use on it.

I tried googling the model #, but it does not exist on the internet for some reason...anyone know what i would be able to sell this for? Im not sure i want to sell it, but im so close to getting my electrical project funded and im not sure i need a compressor this big...so im just checking out my options.

I also have about 30 of these:

30" length

Any idea on those as well?

That compressor has no value at all. I will do you a favor and take it off your hands. I would check the Grainger web site for a model with similar specs and figure out it's worth from there. Speedaire seems to change their model #s often. It looks about 5 hp dual stage single phase? Guessing $13-15 hundred new. Maybe $6-8 hundred used depending on condition.

I'd say around $500-$600 for the compressor. (post model#) why selling it?

I don't need to sell it, it was just an idea since im a bit short on money to finish wiring the barn and it seems to big for my needs.

the quick grips however will probably be goin up for sale if I can get $15 each.

good to know about the compressor, I know nothing about what brands are good etc...so im happy I got paid in quality.

If you have a barn you need that compressor. Most of us have a compressor that's just a size or two too small. It's one thing that's worth getting a bit more powerful than you are looking for at the moment. That one is just big enough to do a proper job with a blast cabinet. If you run solid permanent air lines through the barn and/or shop it will do.

My thoughts exactly. Even if you get $800 for it, you're still going to end up spending $300 for a much smaller replacement. The only real downside to a big monster like that is the time it takes to fill. You can avoid that by just leaving it full and making sure that you don't have any leaks in your distribution. I do this with my 30 gal Craftsman and it kicks on once in a while for a few minutes to top up from any tiny leaks I have.

Given to you ? Keep it because . . . .

YOU ****

There's no way I would sell that compressor. I'd rather have a compressor that is a little too big, than one that is too small.

First post on here...great site. I have the exact same compressor and cannot find a diagram of the check vlv/unloader vlv configuration. It runs, pumps up to pressure, but bleeds down about 20 psi and cycles again. It was a $150 CL find and it appears to have been replumbed and rewired by the previous owner. I would be forever in your debt if you could take a clear pic of the piping in and around the pump. I want to return mine to original because it isn't functional like it is.
