I was really interested in buying some screwdrivers but I'm sad to see the look of all the latest offerings from Europe that have ugly bar codes on them! Is there some new law about having them on tools now?

right.. printing the code even reduces the amount of children/robots in the sweat shop from applying a separate sticker on the handle.Saves $$ by removing unnecessary packging?
I observed recently that Sears sticks barcodes on their individual wrenches on top of the COO stamp area. Is this their way of hiding the COO?![]()
Country of Origin - where a particular tool is made. What does COO stand for?

You're assuming..... I actually did buy one already and more on their way.So you are serious that the stamped on or printed graphics on a tool handle will keep you from buying it?
Wow.
Just wow.
I guess it depends on the ink and material......and the barcodes wipe clean off with a bit of thinners!
I don't like the look of it, but we're talking about tools, not objects of art. I can live with it.
