What's wrong with combined posts?

I opened the classifieds and the first page is mostly one person.

How come many people don't just combine all their stuff into one thread?
That would just seem to be the simplest way to do it, also the fairest? :dunno:

I don't necessarily want the mods to kick him to the curb, but isn't there a rule or something against it?

Rant over.

Sure is. Two people do it actually. Seeks no one pays attention... there's no price in them ads your speaking of either. My for trade ad got axed thre times before I asked what was going on. Trade items are to be in the wanted section. For sale items must have a location and price.

Some people have difficulty using the 'search' function. If they're looking for hammer for instance they'd probably pass over the thread titled 'A lot of stuff' even if the perfect hammer is there. They're more likely to click on the thread 'Hammer for sale'.

Just a guess.

I almost never go in classifieds, so I just did. I didn't realize so many would buy and sell a pair of pliers or a wrench cross country. :dunno:

Sellers are supposed to include prices in their ads, so why not flag them? It will probably get a faster response from the moderators.

I know what you are talking about, I caught this morning and exchanged PMs with another Mod that had seen it too. The other Mod PM'ed the offending party and I told him I would try to watch it today but I got busy and was unable to till this evening. The issue has been taken care of. Hopefully the member won't do it again.

As to why a post for every item, I don't understand it myself other that trying to raise their post count or they are used to listing things on Ebay. :dunno:

Awesome, thanks. Yeah, it's rather annoying when theres a page plus of all one person's posts...
