I hooked up my new bottle tonight, opened the valve, turned the regulator, and nothing.

Empty bottle? The supply house has mixed up the full and empties for me more than a few times.

Looks like it's in the negatives/off the scale. Should sit against the little pin at 0 when off so gauge looks to be broken. Maybe knocked and the needle jumped the pin.

Yup. The regulator is brand new so I’m thinking someone goofed when it was put together.

Might flick it a few times and see if the needle moves at all. Probably won't do anything either way but it's worked with some air gauges that liked to stick, assuming overpressure to point needle is stuck but nothing is damged. Either overpressure in testing or had a bad day in the truck since it's new.

Post picture of regulartor. There should be two gauges. Gauge closest to tank is high side which is tank pressure.
Gauge closest to hose outlet is low pressure. This will show leaving pressure.
