Either most fun, most often or most useful, tool or tool kit. Just curious of what people enjoy using or use most often in different jobs. Anyone from a regular DIYer to someone who works on heavy machinery. Mine is my 3/8" SK Ratchet, Always have it in reach.

My Milwaukee "magnum" 1/2" drive hammer drill.
Why ?
Because I use it the most for repairs and projects around the house.

Love my sk ratchet, favorite tool would be a tie between my long flex head hard handle snappy ratchets and cordless ratchets.

For dirt bikes and atv's I love my Snap-On 3/8" cordless impact. Life saver when you have to knock out a few race motors on Friday before the race.

My favorite tool is usually the one I'm using during any particular task. If it's getting the job done then it's my favorite tool. So I guess my favorite tool is ALL of them.

Maybe my 10" Knipex PliersWrench. Always better than an adjustable wrench, especially for "ratcheting", bigger capacity, etc. Can also be used to straighten sheet metal or small parts, tighten rivets, as a hand-held vise, as a plumbing wrench for plastic or chromed parts you don't want to damage, etc.

I came here to post the same exact thing. My snazzy fine toothed Snap On ratchet doesn't help me too much when I'm driving nails!

Same here with the pocket screwdriver. It's my most used and most valuable tool. I'd be lost without it.

But my most used tool would either be my "brain or smartphone"

By far. This is my most used tool. My little brother helped me around the shop a few times and he noticed how much I used it. He said I don't know what those are called, but you use them for everything. He calls it my handy dandy tool. I like how they grip the stud of a clip instead of just prying under the head of a clip. I despise a "fork" type clip tool. They always seem to fold or bust the heads of the clips. These make it way faster for me, saves a lot more clips, and keeps me from having to dig around and find replacement clips.

My favorite tools to use are the saw-zall and welder. Obviously because at that time I am fabricating and making something out of nothing.

A lot of my tools tie for usage (screwdrivers, wire stripper, pliers)

but my favorite to use is the 10" knipex pliers wrench.as mentioned before. If you work with tools for a living you owe it to yourself to get one in whatever size is appropriate for you. Being able to apply pressure to the fastener while turning:D:3gears:

It's hard to pick a favorite. I have a lot of tools and use most of them. Some more than others, but there are not a lot of unused tools. I guess the one I use most is my Swiss Army knife, so that's one kind of favorite. I guess my favorite recent acquisition is a #2 Beverly shear. It is really a pleasure to use. So much so that I find myself looking for reasons to use it. 2nd is the Baleigh magnetic brake. Haven't even begun to tap its potential and it has a certain "cool" factor.

I love those steck clip pliers. I lost a pair once. Longest week ever waiting for new ones.

Without a doubt my "Zizzwheel" (air operated right angle die grinder) I have 2 and wish I had 2 more I use them for EVERYTHING!, scotch brite pads on them for cleaning and deburring parts, cutoff wheel for cutting/trimming, carbide burrs for whatever, I honestly don't know how any mechanic doesn't use one 20 times a day. My customer's and shop loafers even got to saying that if I get to use my zizzwheel that day is was a very good day!!

I'm rather fond of my estwing 20oz leather handle hammer, been doing some renovation and just enjoy using it, the steel plate was never properly fixed to the handle on the bottom so with every strike it makes a ringing noise that I find pleasant. Otherwise I really love my Chris King hub tools, they're machined and anodized to just be a pretty and functional tool, always a pleasure to pull out and use.

This big boy. The first truck tool I ever bought. Helped me realize I needed a little better than Kobalt to get certain jobs done.

My favorite tool, or the one that I always go to, is an old Craftsman slip joint plier similar to a Channel Lock. It was my Great Uncle's and it came to me when my great aunt died in the 70s. I think it must be from at least the mid 60s, but it could be older. I can't count the things I have used it for and it always seems to get me out of trouble. Whoever designed it knew how to get the most leverage and grip out of a tool like no other one I've used. I found out just recently it was made by Sexauer Tools, because I found one just like it with the maker's name instead of Craftsman at an estate sale. It has "Sexauer Tools , "Make Tight Stay" and "USA & Can. Now I have two favorite tools.

Favorite hand tools carpentry stilletto 14 oz curved wood handle.

Auto hand tool 100 tooth roto ratchet it is so smooth I have to check to see if it is turning, I have it lube with Lucas engine oil additive.

Power tool 3 speed brushless 18v Makita 1/4 hex chuck impact, this gets used for so many things, it fun to come up new ways to use it. Many adapters and extensions, sockets, and bits. Fun to save time.

I like most of my tools in general; I try to have decent stuff.
