to store lots of different size zip-ties up to 18inches.
My requirements:
1. See through
2. Compact (within reason)
3. Single container
4. Portable
Thanks for your input. BAZZ
Kraft parmasean cheese (aka. green lid sprinkle cheese containers as my daughter calls them) containers (once emptied and witht he label ripped off) gets you everything 6" and under and clcear from the outside.
For zip-ties over that I check out the Dollar Store for their upright pasta storage containers in clear plastic for cheap with a lock lid.
That's usually 12" to 15"+/-.
18" gets into specialty containers or cut dowq PVC or clear acrylic tubes with a glued on end cap.
Still not a lot of $$$.
EDIT:
BTW, if you or any friends drink high end bourbon or single malt scotch, the metal ended cardboard tubes that the bottles come in make WONDERFUL zip tie bins, especially for the long ones if no lid on the tube.
I buy my zip-ties in cheap discount stores, they usually come in a clear plastic container with a threaded lid

Nothing innovative here, just simple. Leave them in the plastic see-through bags they come in, and toss the bags in a large shallow drawer. You can see them all when you open the drawer, and grab the one you need.

I also tie my zip ties with another zip tie. When I take one out, I tighten the rest. I keep a small bundle everywhere as they will stay together ******* like that.
Great idea!
And without me sounding "terse", a "****", or an "***" zip-ties are indeed a "get what you pay for" thing sadly.
I stock a tonne (for Rico and Moose LOL) of the good 3M stuff. And it is worth it.
I also have many of the Xmas stocking stuffer tubs as above. Too many to count in fact .
They do in a pinch, but, hey, break that small zip-tie **** out of that mess of bins and into parm cheese containers and let them live and be found. Trust me.
Dayum.
LOLOLOLOLOL.
I use the containers that Bode's treats come in, they're the same as racquetball containers. Different one for each color. I also have a few small coffee containers for the 3" zip ties. They all go o a shelf in a cabinet.

I use Plano boxes meant for fishing.. I just have one and have it organized the way I want with the divider tabs.
Since I no longer have a yellow lab I have no need to buy the balls. LOL.
