probably a #2 PH screwdriver. More recently Torx 20 driver for repairs both on a chain saw and air compressor.
I'd say cutters > scissors and utility knife would be close second.

For changing my tires, these are a must: Mac Tools 24" 1/2" drive Breaker Bar, Snap On 19mm/21mm Combo socket, SK 5" 1/2 drive extension.

I'm surprised no-ones mentioned it, My most used tool by far is my pocket screwdriver. from prying on electrical connectors, scraping crud, to pulling apart interior trim, it's invaluable to me!

1. ratcheting wrenches (gear wrench)
2. Hex key sets (Wiha)
3. Cobra pliers (Knipex)
4. 6 in 1 screwdriver (Klien)

A day doesn't go by that I don't use them.

Maaan I need to buy those in bulk. I always loose those pocket screw drivers. The magnet gets stuck on something that I don't notice and it's never to be seen again. But they are very handy.

OP, if you like that big Dewalt impact, you should try the Milwaukee fuel version. I have them both in their 7/16 hex drive version, ( and the 1/2" version of the m18 at home) and I much prefer the m18 over the Dewalt. The power is almost identical, but I never pick up the Dewalt if the Milwaukee winds up on the same truck.. It just feels so much better to use.

In no particular order.
-Snap on CT761 3/8 impact wrench. Very versatile tool , handles alot of engine , brake to light suspension work.
-MAC AWP050 1/2 impact wrench. Love this tool, powerful, very ergonomic and surprisingly quiet.
-MAC AR249 1/4 air ratchet. Handy little ratchet, not the most powerful but great slim design with super easy to used directional switch.
-
Matco Torque II #2 screwdriver. Use this great screwdriver all the time. Feels good in the hand and extremely well built by Witte of Germany.
-Wright 3/8 metric shallow chrome socket set. What can I say , fantastic sockets. Very well done chrome , excellent fit on fasteners, my go to non impact sockets.
-MAC 3/8 AXIS standard comfort grip ratchet. Great ergonomics , amazingly smooth action with near zero backdrag. Great ratchet.
-Pen , no particular pen just any really. Have to fill out RO's , multipoint sheets , diag notes. Literally cant do any job without one.

I was originally eye balling the Milwaukee m12 version. But then I saw a review from "real tool reviews" that showed the Dewalt produced a bit more torque when he measured them on a Skidmore torque device. I think the difference was about 100ft lbs or close to it. So naturally I just had to have the most powerful in class impact wrench as long as the size difference was minimal.

Why do you prefer the Milwaukee? Is it smoother or faster?

OMG I forgot about the pen. The paper work often takes longer than the job. Multi points, warranty details, tsb information, quotes for upsales, etc, etc

A 2AAA penlight is definitely my most used tool (Streamlight ProTac, ThruNite Ti4, or Nextorch K3)

Ditto on the penlight being my most used tool. Can't tell you how many times a day I'm looking around an engine with that thing. I can tell you how lost I feel when it isn't in my pocket lol.

Lisle door trim/panel popper tool. It's my most favorite tool ever. Perfect fit in my hand, cheap, and will not break. I've bent the tabs a little, but they bend back just fine. Had two, but lost one somewhere. Been meaning to buy another.

Dewalt 12v Max 3/8" impact wrench. Light and small, and just enough torque for most every fastener up to 16mm, and some 18 and 19mm fasteners as well.

Handyman, probably a toss up between my Hitachi cordless impact driver and the Hitachi cordless leaf blower. But I use a wide range of tools because of the variety of jobs. Being spring here lately it has been my shovel for landscaping work.

4 years and counting. Used more than the rest of my tools combined. Avoid cheap imitations.

What's your line of work for this tool. Just curious.

I work on heavy trucks and agri/construction/earthmoving equipment. Rebuild engines and transmissions, overhaul hydraulic and electrical systems. My eyesight is not the best and this thing lives on my head while I am working - all day, every day. This light is professional work-headlight and I can't recommend it enough. Only downside is it's a bit heavy. I guess it's not for everyone.

I kid you not...using the World Wide Web and searching for information in order to write the tool stories for the GJ is my # 1 tool.

PS: I hope that you are enjoying my stories about all the tool companies along with pictures of all the tools in each story.
