here's a thought, get full polish for metric set, satin for SAE
I prefer full polish, call it a bling thing. Shininess makes me care more for the tools and be less of a mess when I clean up after working with them. If I always put them away clean then the inside of the box stays cleaner longer.
Really prefer the feel of the satin though I only have satin wrights. Disagree with anyone who says they're harder to clean or easier to hold. No real difference there that I can discern. But there is something about the way the finish feels while holding them that I like better.
I prefer satin. It's a tiny bit easier to grip when sweaty and oily and I haven't noticed it being significantly more difficult to clean. I don't know if they are actually more durable finishes or not but it seems they hold up to minor scratches better; although probably the scratches are just better camouflaged in satin. That said, I own a lot of full polish and wouldn't turn down a good wrench or set of wrenches just because they shine.
