Just getting ready to head to the garage for some me time in my thearpy area, as I have not been able to spend much time there of late, other then to do work for others. So today I am going to go out there and straighten up a bit then do a project I want to do, not sure what yet just what ever strikes my fancy when i get out in the space. Since finding this site have had renewed intrest to do a remake on my ever evolving bench, will have to post it's story sometime, or organise some stuff or design or build something all together new, or play with one of my antique small engines, so much to do so little time.

So my question to you is what are you working ths weekend, a new project, continuing an existing project, garage/shop remodel, or implementing and idea found here on this addicting site??? Share pics if you got em.

ENJOY

Finished up the tin-work on an H John Deere tractor. Friend is doing a resto. on this tractor for someone. He got backed up with other work so I'm helping out. There were some pretty bad dents and a wicked crease in the hood. Worked it all out. No Bondo!!

I need to get started on taking out old cabinets and installing new. My garage is unfinished so I am going to start in one corner and work my way around.

Got the wife's car running at least:

Trans shifts good but the converter is all wrong. so I have to pull it out. Best run was 7.70 @ 87, probably a tenth or two in there if we get the converter right.

Friend and his wife tested her new dragster - 4.85 @ 145 MPH. Nice ride, eh.

It didn't rain and we made a ton of passes. Falcon made one pass, has a screwed up shifter - oh, what's another $200 this week...its only racin'.

Been away from GJ for some time but have finally made my way back! My weekend project was to rework a crappy ATT U-verse installation. I'm sure there are some good installers out there but the one I had left much to be desired. Next time, I'll make sure I'm at home to supervise.

Can't decide between rebuilding the carb for my olds cutlass, hooking up remote start to my truck, or finishing up the system in my truck. All that and or finishing the refinishing project on an old piece of furniture. I can't decide.

Saturday was ambulance call day, can't do much as I have to be ready whenever the pager goes off. Today I had a couple kart motors to work on. Checked over 2, installed carb kits, cleaned carbon etc. Started cleaning parts for another, awaiting more parts on the UPS truck.
Hopefully getting new garage doors in the house garage this week or next, so had to shuffle some stuff in the garage, fired up the trike and moved it to the shop for a couple weeks or so.

Just took care of a Williams wrench I picked up a couple of weeks back. It was originally painted gloss black which isn't really a good finish on a wrench. So I lightly beadblasted what little paint was left on it (& the surface rust) & then gave it the oil/blowtorch treatment.
Pics appear a bit fuzzy.. :(

i worked alot, but in my spare time i built a new work bench. its not done though, i need bolts got the legs, i need to add more screws to the first layer of osb for stregnth, then put the top layer on, trim it out a little. then add the shelf underneath, level the thing and mount my vise on it.

i may change it a little, i seem to have made it higher that i would have liked. so i may jack it up and cut about 2-3in off the legs. i still have to go get some sheet metal for the top, and some angle iron to trim the front

Finally a day with temps that are tolerable. Wire brushing the H&B bandsaw preping for painting, Cleaned the shop up from a winter's worth of dust, shavings and projects. wire brushed the table saw table , waxed it. Tossed some treasure junk. Made some trim for the house. Man I'm sore! Oh yeah my weekend was yesterday, I'm working today.

I love seeing OSB get paint.

I bled the brakes on my car in preparation for this week's track day. Tires tomorrow.

And I finally got a picture of the car on jackstands on the tile.

Well, I'm hoping to begin installing my EE In-Floor Scissor Lift this coming weekend.

Wish me luck!
