Mines is nothing fancy. All made from scrap materials. Total cost was about £6/$12 and a few hours.

Only money i parted with was for a few "L" brackets and some shelf stands. Top of the bench was a bit of scrap kitchen worktop. Was covered in overspray so a rub down with some 240grit on an orbital took it all off and left the original worktop finish. two 960mm lengths of 3x2 screwed to the floor and a 7ft piece of lathed screwed to the wall with the top screwed on with L brackets.

Don’t have a garage in Arizona USA
I'll finally post here. Started cleaning the bench up this morning. It's been collecting junk for at least 6 months. I have stuff here from rebuilding my friend's gsxr carbs in the fall, Subaru head gaskets from January, and the vise I disassembled to restore last summer...
When I took this picture I had already started and moved the bulk of the stuff off of it.

Here they are typically. I can use around 1.5 of my benches.

I think my garage needs a facelift if we are going to stay here any longer. There's got to be a better way.

Here's my workbench... I spent the morning puttering and generally cleaning up from the last half dozen odd projects. Somehow things stack up!

By the way, I'm a long time member. I've been following for a long time and this is my first post... Thank for all the great stuff so far...

Don't be afraid of posting. Your bench looks pretty hefty. You could always paint everything green if you wanted to fit in. Oh yeah add some of those smillie things to your posts.:lol_hitti:willy_nil:p

Thanks... I think I'll skip the green for now.

The bench was here when I moved in to the house... the former owner had some heavy duty gear in there that used 3-phase. I've since covered the top with hardboard and added the vise and everything else you see in the photo. I am thinking of taking it out and building a bench that runs the length of the wall on this side of the garage... but I've been thinking of that for years. No sense in rushing these things.

How's that?

Like very much! Did you make the cabinets or are the old kitchen cabinets, got any more pics?

It's 3/4 and 1/2 inch ply with melamine face frames and doors. The bench top is also melamine. Here are a couple of photos of the inside. I also added a photo of the bench before I moved it into my new garage addition.

We moved back to California to take care of my father-in-law and left the house in the hands of my 19 year old. As you can imagine that didn't work out well. My oldest moved in to keep an eye on things and wanted a space to do some projects. This is what it looked like when the wife and I were living there.

This shot shows my old workbench I built when I was 19 and the steel frame for the new bench.

The second shot is of my son's new workbench. That's the 19 year old's pool table in the middle of the garage, or should I say party room.

Here's the workbench coming together. Angled support back to the cement stem wall with a ledger into the studs on the wall. The top is 3/4 MDF. The bench against the wall has an overhang of 1-5/8" the table saw bench has an extra 2x4 on two sides. So that the the saw bench fits under the wall bench for an off feed table.

The workbench attached to the wall is on the same slope as the floor, that way the saw table can fit flush any were along the workbench.

He can off feed stock into the driveway or use the fixed workbench to support wider material.

Hi,
Love your workbench.
May I ask, where you found it or how you built it ?

Thanks
Phil

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't want the wood of the building right around my welding table. I know it's not MIG/ARC but it would still worry me.

Not completely done (still want to paint/stain it....), but it's done enough to post it up. Around 8' long, on casters. Framed with 2x4's and 2x6's. Top is 2 layers of 3/4 ply with a 1/4 tempered hardboard work surface. Built-in power strip on the front. For big projects, it will be wheeled out into the middle if the garage.

Nothin' fancy but gets the job done better than my old particle board top. Made from 1" thick solid wood tops stained with Minwax Polyshades, attached to 24" x 48" x 36" Gorilla shelves.

Built mine about 20 years ago in my spare time after hours while running a steel processing plant (sheet steel, no structural) out in Indiana.. Now lives in my outside 'shed/shop'. Everything, including drawers made from scrap off our shear line. Top is 5/8 plate, legs are 1/4", total weight is 997lbs empty. Added 6" casters so I could move it around in the garage I had at the time, the 4 legs sit on 2x4 wood blocks. Just lift it off the blocks, roll it wherever I want it. Where the grinder sits fits a standard 30" tool box, all 4 corners drilled and tapped to accept the vice, also holes to temporarily pin the bench grinder, table saw, router table (all color coded originally). Has a shelf with 48" light mounted above and now a roll up canvas to keep water out of the drawers when I wash the cars or scoots.
Oh, one other thing, it is a survivor of Hurricane Sandy, it was completely submerged in salt water. Washed it, wire brushed it and repainted it. I haven't replaced the 30" tool chest yet, may not...
Note picts taken just after the roof/carport was installed, I've done a few things to it too. Love it, could spend all day out there.

Krash anymore pics of your garage and your wagon for that matter? Love your workbench.

Here is mine, I am just finishing it up. It's a solid core door 6'11X 3ft. I am still trying to figure out a good way to use my table saw with it. I want to be able to remove it when not in use. Few more minor tweaks and I think it will be done. First one I've ever built and I'm happy with it.
