I'm stumped. No markings. It looks like a United-Carr type snap fastener tool from WWII, but I have a few of those, they're always marked, and I can't figure out what the application would be for this. That tube depresses inside the handle.

So this screwdriver is leather handled kind of like an Estwing hammer. No markings that I have found. There is a brass piece right below the leather where the shank goes into the handle. Anyone have any clue as to who may have made it?

I made a screwdriver similar to that in school, but we used plexiglass . stacked them up & turned on the lathe . wonder if it was a similar project?
I should dig it up & take a picture of it ...

Yeah I have no clue I found it at a sale today and it looked cool and for a buck I couldn't pass it up. I know that the top of the handle is either missing a cap of some sort or if it's homemade then the top was never finished
