Looking for ideas to use wheel chair wheels for other projects. Thoughts that come to mind are welder carts. I have several wheelchairs that are incomplete and no organization wants them so what great ideas do the creative minds here suggest?

I remember seeing DIY plans for a roll around tool box built on a wheelchair frame
it was intended for downtown urban use

I have a half dozen wheel chairs I use as bonfire chairs when we have people over. They're great because if someone has too good a time you can at least wheel then inside for the night :lol_hitti

The welder or torch cart is a great idea !!

I used some solid wheels to replace the crappy harbor freight ones on my trailer dolly. and some air (electric wheelchair) ones to replace some handtruck tires. and some other ones for a halloween costume/ ice cream truck

Yard cart. Anything that big wheels needed for ruff terrain. Easy rolling.
I could use a yard tool cart for fence/gate [I have 450' of it with 8 gates] repair/maintenence same with shed/garage/house maintenance, not to mention the 4, 60' tall spruce trees that toss branches all the time. Those big wheels would make it very maneuverable on the rough lawn with tree roots everywhere. Harry

BTW, a bit of a gray area I guess, but if you need one or two wheels you can go on Ikea "replacement parts" page and order them there for free. Also (cheap) drawer slides and other ikea hardware.

I don't know, on the survey for spare parts where it asks "what do you need them for", I just mark the upgrading/strengthening ikea furniture box. So I guess they're fine with that? I have some Ikea stuff and I have ordered some extra ikea corner braces as a replacement part for "strengthening" a closet once, and noticed they offer a ton of stuff... So for example, I also swapped the casters on my Markus chair cause they got a little squeaky over the years.

The yard cart is a good idea, my situation no yard so no cart. The big wheels are nice but the ones I have are very narrow tread, in soft ground they may dig in?
