Hammer on a damaged nut/bolt socket and blip with a impact. Had to do this on my cousins 03 Cobra when his wheel lock did the same thing.

There is nothing to put anything on. The cap was pressed in. I tapped it back inbut it just spins?

Do you know anyone who works in an auto salvage yard ? Back when I did I bought a set of special tapered sockets just for those occasions when wrecks came in with alloy wheels and no key for the locks. My set has a variety of different diameter sockets that are smooth on the inside but tapered so the harder you beat them onto the nut the better they grab. You drive the proper size socket on and zap it with an impact gun. They always come off.

I've run into this a few times and used all of the above few of the mentioned ways of getting it off plus a few. A 12 point socket hammered on generally works, you'll want to use a breaker bar on it and not an impact though as the impact will probably make it loose its gip. Air hammer and really sharp chiesel point or reverse threaded sockets also work. If that thing is really stuck (I've only had to do this once before), you remove all the other nuts (hopefully you only have 1 that won't come off) heat the stuck one up red hot (pretty much liquid) with the torch and give it a pull / or a quick kick off center. This will destroy the threads on the hub bolt and the nut, but hub bolts are cheap and easy to re-install.

Use the tool made for the job, like posted above or Snap-on or I believe Lisle makes one too.

I've driven a 12 pt deep well socket on some that worked or welded a nut over what is left of the lugnut.

NAPA makes sockets designed specifically for this. Most tire stores have them. Take it to them and have them remove it.
