Required for #4 awg and larger conductors.

To add, it does not matter if EMT, or PVC, a bushing is still required when 4 AWG & larger conductors are used.

A bushing is also required on threaded rigid metal conduit, regardless of of size of the conductor, unless it's screwed into a hub.

I installed a 100 amp sub panel in my garage, wired from the 200 amp main panel (also in the garage), using EMT and individual THHN wires larger than #4. Do I need these bushings on the panel fittings?

I install them on anything, any size. They are cheap and easy to install.
