Hi there, question about the process.
Ok I know for Rust Bullet you dont have to grind the floor, but for almost all epoxy coatings isnt it advisable to get the best adhesion and lifespan by grinding to prep?
There are acids and fake acid etches, but without knowing everything about the history of the slab, dont you always grind? Is it ever advisable with an epoxy coating just to do an etch or is etching for stains and sealers?
Sometimes you shotblast instead to get a rougher CSP so a thicker epoxy can be applied. What situation would warrant a thicker product that requires a higher CSP over one that grinding and applying a thinner, but still professional and pretty thick product on?
Im just wondering what the water beading test is for if youre gonna grind the floor no matter what.
And do you test for water vapor after grinding or before bc it seems like everyone says to do it before but apply the vapor coating if necessary after grinding? Why doesnt the water test happen after the grinding or does it?
Thanks for any help
