A woman buys a house for the kitchen.
A man buys it for the garage or basement.

(unless it's one of this new breed of girly-men who don't know how to change their own oil. Then they buy it for the walk-in closet :lol_hitti)

I have a few friends who are doctors. Smartest guys I know. But...hand them a screwdriver or hammer and you get  :headscrat :wtf:

Fortunately, they have $$$ to pay people to do their maintenance/repair work. If they had to survive in the "real" world, forgetaboutit...

i told my wife whatever house u want, wherever u want it. as long as it has a garage big enough to house my car and tools, with a yard big enough to put a shed in. thankfully she has good taste, and we have a nice home.

Yep! Bought a house a few months back. Walked around the front, down the side and into th eback. Saw the garage! "We'll take it."

My mind was made up without ever stepping foot in the front door.

A lot of negative things can be said about me, but nothing regarding my priorities!

Bought my place based on whether I could build a big enough garage in the back for 4 cars. The house is fine, it needs re-decorating throughout, new double-glazing and a new kitchen - these minor details can wait, garage first!

My first house had a seperate 2 story garage/workshop. First level had 3 garage doors, 2 of the bays were 2 cars+ deep and it would easily hold 5 cars and some stuff, upstairs was all open floor space. I built an ultralight with a 28' wing span and I had it fully assembled in the workshop, with lots of room to work around it. I miss that garage!!

Yea my wife accused me of looking more seriously at houses with bigger garages, and that was more of a prority to me. Well we bought a home with a small 2 car attached garage, and it is waaaaaay too small, I tryto keep it where we can get the van in but sometimes it just doesn't happen, in fact the van hasn't been in the garage for at least a month. Oh well should of bought some the ones we looked at tha had the 2 car garage for the house, and a nice shop out back, but NOOOOOOO. But I still love my wife.

A garage/yard size was the only requirement I had when we bought our home. I let the wife decide on all other factors (within the price range).

Yup...We're working on getting this place ready to sell, and my only requirement for the next house is at least a 2 car garage, the rest I really don't care about.
