Any thoughts on time from epoxy installation? Any special prep for a floor with heavy flake and 2 part clear over the color layer?

Within 24 hrs of your epoxy, apply the urethane. No prep. If exceed this, it would require prep( coat within 24 hrs!!)

Occurred to me to do this just now as the floor is in and I have not ordered the product.

What is the prep?

I do have a 2 part clear already which I put on over the flakes to at least 10 mil. Does that make a difference?

If not, it was just an idea for one more layer. Will be fine if I can't add the urathane

What clear is down? You want to stick with the same product.

The floor could be prepared using a grit brush. We have them on our site.

Clear is 2 part epoxy. Thanks for the help

That is fine. Prep using a grit-brush on a floor buffer and you should be fine.
Wipe the floor with denatured alcohol once complete, then coat.

The grit brush will not harm your flakes. We have had customers use a black 3m stripper pad as well, however if you went heavy on the flake this may not reach into the nooks and crannies as well.
