New guy here--I have a new garage going up now .How long do you wait for the concrete floor to cure before you put down the epoxy ?

Has anyone mixed sand in with it ? I am concerened with out that if the floor gets wet it may be slippery as hell . Any info is much appreaciated .

Thanks,

I was told 45 days. I'm waiting also. I think there is an aggregate you can add for traction and non slip. Others with more experience will answer that.

100 percent solids epoxy is too thick to broadcast a nonskid into, it will sink in. You want to add a thin topcoat of urethane, either mix in an additive like sharks grip or our Soft Skid, or broadcast in a fine sand and backroll.

I am assuming you are using a quality solids epoxy as a base for the urethane.
