These are stupid little things I can get a whole set for, for probably 5$, but I cant seem to find anywhere. I already looked at sears and the tool warehouse doesnt have them.

Are they called by a different name? They are just little aligator clips with a needle kinda thing on the end for back probing sensors and such. They usually come matched in a few different colors.

After a kid established that a toggle switch (not even a push button) with a wire pulling juice right off the battery was NOT the best way to start his car :tard:(wire shorted and he had to put his car out), I had to figure out why the car wouldnt start with the key. Long story short, these back probes were a life saver, because I only have two hands. I was able to override the clutch safety switch with one pair, and use a few more else where.

Where can I get them? They definetly beat using a short piece of wire and some electrical tape haha

Did you notice that ole amazon wanted more than the list price for them??

William....

Well, actually they're sold and shipped from toolsource.com and can be purchased now. Fluke points you to dealers that may or may not have them in stock. Some dealers will charge shipping on special orders, so $4 more upfront and shipped/received in a week may be worth it.

Are you sure you have the right term? Backprobes are the needles used to stick into connectors, bed of nails are the aligator clips that pierce the insulation, then you have piercing probes, and the regular aligator style clips.

No, Im not sure I have the right term, thats why Id asked earlier.

Imagine a regular old alligator clip, and instead of a wire lead coming out the back, its a long needle.

What is the correct term for these? I have always heard these refered to simply as backprobes to be used when backprobing haha

Thanks

The fluke ones are what I use, since I've got a Fluke 88 V that came with them.

Fluke's test leads terminate in banana plugs, that standard probes, back-probes, alligator-clips, etc, all slide onto. It's a nice setup.

If I were you, I'd seriously think about grabbing some banana plugs from radioshack and sticking them on the end of your leads. Then just get the fluke accessories and slip 'em on and off.

I'll try to remember to take a look at it tomorrow if you want me to: I'm not certain a standard banana would fit; the portion where the wire is connected might be too large.

Those are T-pins. They might work for probing connectors, but reception of RADIO BEIJING is guaranteed.

now THATS funny right there lol

TNT, that'd be great.

Im going to check to see who makes those and where they were purchased.

Thanks
