Where can I find bevel gears?

I'm working on a project that needs a couple bevel gears. I can work with the sizing, but somewhere close to a 3" outside diameter and 3/4" internal.
Anyone know where I could source something like this?

Thanks larry_g. I probably should have been more specific. I would prefer to source them local, if possible. Would a bearing supply or fastener supply place carry these?

A bearing supply should be able to order them for you, most likely from Boston Gear.

You probably won't find these types of gears stocked locally. There are just to many variations in gears. That is why I suggested that you spend some time learning all the spec's your going to have to give to get the gear set you want. As said above once you spec the gears then they can order them for you. Do you have an existing application your replacing or are you inventing on your own? Do you have intersecting shafts or offset? Is this a 1:1 ratio or something else? Horsepower and speed play in here. Open gears or enclosed? How ya going to retain the gear on the shaft?

You have to know all the above and more to spec the gearset. google up "bevel gear design"

Martin gear lists what you want in there catalog as miter gears. the diameter is determined by the pitch of tje gears. do you want to just change direction or do you meed a reduction?

Miter Gears are a kind of bevel gear specially used for 1:1 gear ratio.

It was already suggested but the Spider gears from just about any car rear end have about a 3 inch OD and 3/4 to 1 inch ID.

You want a local source, but I haven't seen a location posted?

Ya that's why I recommend them. They fit the limited amount of info provided. But we don't know if it a part for a space shuttle or a jack shaft potters wheel. Any more info might get better responses.
