Where can I find this wall outlet?

I need an outlet or something I can plug into an existing outlet that has a timer on it. Not the kind that you have to set by times and days. I want one with a knob that I can turn on and twist it and it will stay on 20-30 minutes then turn the outlet off.

Anyone seen one?

The heat lamp ones i see are programmable. I don't want that as they are too time consuming to set and would defeat my purpose.

My wife can't remember to turn off her curling iron. I want her to plug it in,turn the knob and it will automatically turn the iron off 20-30 minutes later.

What you're looking for is a "spring wound" off delay timer" such as the one
here.

but you want it to have a receptacle on board. I don't know of one but you could install a two-gang box and install this timer and a receptacle next to it to control...

Many electronic ones have a "hold" position as well.

The spring wound ones have another fatal flaw. They often tick down to zero, and then fail to click off.

All day apparently! It burned through the cork pad she sets it on and into the plastic around the sink.

I have these digital timer switches for my bathroom fans. I like them a lot. Very user friendly.

The digital timers are more reliable than the spring wound ones. Sometimes the spring tension isn't high enough at the end of the time, and it doesn't "click" off the circuit.

Get one of these and hardwire it to the bathroom outlet.

Set it so the outlet only works for an hour when she gets ready.
