A slow speed die grinder for an eraser wheel. Im looking for one thats good for around 2k rpms.

what about a 3/8" air drill? i think the one i had was around that speed

Uhh.....get a regular die grinder and put a regulator on it and turn it down to the speed you want.....

And dont think that you can just give a regular grinder part throttle. I had one of those wheels blow up on me once and a fairly large junk went by my head at about 300mph. I never found that piece. All I know is it went straight up.

FYI they do make grinders specifically for those but they are pricey considering what they are

Im not sure if a die grinder with the air pressure turned down to 2K rpm would have enough (if any) torque for an eraser wheel... My die grinders have no torque at low RPM's

Dynabrade makes a gear driven, low RPM die grinder. It's made for cast removel/polishing. Like most things Dynabrade, it will cost you one arm and both legs to buy.

My advice would be to use an air drill. Their noisy, but they run at a lower RPM and have more lower RPM torque then a die grinder.
