If they are having trouble with a particular server, that would affect only those regions.

According to my neighbor, the only people having problems with Craigslist right now are those who frequent the personals section. In fact, he told me he was going to postpone his meeting with the guy in the Wal Mart bathroom until the site was working again. So, whichever guy here posed **** in front of the Snap On toolbox wearing only a hard hat and is planning on meeting Dave tonight at Wal Mart, you're going to need to wait.

Of course, Craigslist is working fine for me, but I can understand if others are having trouble.

I read that many people who can't currently use Craig's List are able to surf their using a proxy service.

It is a DNS issue. Here's some info on it;

Attention: If you are unable to access craigslis < - > 12/23 09:00:21

from certain computers or networks:

There is known to currently be a temporary DNS problem affecting certain ISP's that can cause your computer to be unable to "look up" the IP addresses for craigslist's servers, and be unable to connect to them.

You can either wait for the issue to be resolved, or you can change the DNS servers your router or computer uses to use google's DNS service, which is currently working.

To use google's DNS, set your DNS to:

primary: 8.8.8.8
alternate: 8.8.4.4
