I would go with that location keeping the tool boxes at a steady temp will keep rust down and also make it warmer as they won't be radiating cold . I would also put an oscillating fan up front to circulate the heat around. We will see if others have a differing opinion and reasoning.

I have mine in one corner facing the garage doors on a cross angle if that makes any sense, i always seen heaters facing the doors not sure if it makes any difference. I think the biggest and best thing i did a few years ago was installing a small ceiling fan to help circulate the heat from the ceiling what a huge difference.
I turn the heater on and ceiling fan on low for half hour enter the garage and is comfortable (double garage/canadian winters) im fully insulated its awesome
enjoy yours man good luck

I was thinking just to the right of the TV, but I don't know what kind of airflow that thing puts out, might be annoying or really hot if you are at the workbench...

Be aware that those heaters have fans that run continuous...have to trip the breakers to shut them off.

I have that same exact heater, the fan does not run continuously.

I have my heater installed at the center of the far wall facing towards the double garage doors (24' x 24' garage) with an oscillating fan in one corner to help circulate the heat.

Good point, ^ ............ keep the tools warm.... oh please.

The garage door is like a window, they tend transfer the outside temp indoors more so than walls.

Yes The PVC and blankets keep me from scratching my beloved 75 Camaro ...

I think I 'll keep the idea of locating my heater by the entrance door in the area of the flag ...a ceiling fan is also a good idea i'll keep that in mind also

Thanks everyone

Generally speaking - best place for a hanging heater is on the other side of the building from the overhead doors, pointing toward the overhead doors.

just read my instructions i had with mine and it says to aim to coldest wall ie garage doors makes most sense. It states

"Avoid directing the air flow from the unit heater towards occupants of the room, beams, poles, machinery and or against walls. Instead try to direct the air flow along the wall. preferably an exterior wall that is exposed to the wind "

hope this helps Tom
