Where do you have your compressor?

I had mine in my shop for several years and one day recently it dawned on me I use it more in my garage. This is where it sits now. In addition, it gave me more room in my small shop.

Okay, since you seem unable to grasp this, let me try and put it in different terms.

Polls are useful when there are a small and finite number of choices -- when you can enumerate all possible choices.

Polls are pointless to ask open-ended questions like "where do you have your air compressor?". There are a million possible answers, and no poll on the subject is ever going to be able to match the richness of the free-form written word. You'll get a better response, and you'll get a better answer.

Put yet another way: if you saw a guy using a hammer to torque the nuts on a cylinder head, you'd probably conclude that he had no idea what he was doing. Using a poll to ask an open-ended question is pretty much just like that.

Don't be that guy.

I'm in the same size garage, I put mine at the far outside corner near the door. My pump runs pretty slow, it sounds like a Model T, and is pretty quite, so it doesn't really bother me at all. The garage is just off the kitchen, and if the refrigerator is running, you really can't hear it.
