I saw some cheap ones on ebay.de, but that complicates things. I make a yearly trip over to Europe and if I didn't get one before then, I was going to check a large box as a bag on my flight home

I'm thinking about this. I would first think of how I want to work. What specific tools I would most like to have close at hand. Where I would want to have them in relation to the work. Then put together a selection of trays, buckets, carts and holders as needed. I would pick equipment that would hold and not lose tools and parts (Magnetic, non slip or with tops or lids). Clear where needed to see what's inside. Made of material that would not mar the work item (Car, bike etc.) I would modify whatever items I bought to be more useful with racks, handles, extend-able arms, paper towel holders etc. There would be provision for magnifying and lighting help on positionable arms (I'm getting old and blind). Maybe a cushioned seat would be attached so I could take impromptu naps........and an insulated beverage holder. A wireless internet hookup and screen so I could ask questions of the guys on GJ..........and some tunes broadcast on portable speakers.......The mind boggles with the possibilities!

I like your way of thinking -- it resembles mine.

But when I got my Miller Thunderbolt ac/dc welder, I decided to make some tool caddies. The first one I made is a creeper of sorts for crawling under a car with the tools I need ....

I've had the same thoughts myself, but you went ahead and did; I haven't yet.

Nice job! I don't have the means to weld so I was planning to make it out of some scrap wood. The castors would be concealed with my version.

it really depends on the project around the house i use tool belts or tool aprons under hood magnetic holders and i kkep the tools i am working with in a msall pan anything larger goes back in tools cart.

household projects semm to end in **** where is the ________________ i hjave left breaker bars under the sink for months still have no idea how

big magnetic tray for nuts/bolts - 2 carts
tools still end up under the hood , and everything is driven with an air tool

In the garage I use magnetic trays and a tray on a rolling stool. The top of my box is also used. I have considered buying a cart, but then I would buy tools just for it as I have every other tool box or toolbelt I have ever owned.

I mostly work on my motorcycle and quad. Cookie sheets are great. My wife accidentally bought 50 of them at an auction last year (She thought she was buying 2, not 2 cases)!

I've got about a dozen of them in my shop... they're restaurant grade, so they're stiff and durable. I've got some old speakers that I'm planning to cannibalize the magnets from to make a few of them magnetic.
