It's a bit hard to see here, but I store it under the front of the car. You can see a corner of the tape on the floor to mark where the jack wheels go. When I pull the car in I just line up the middle of the hood with the jack handle and pull forward until the bumper taps the handle. There is foam on the handle up past the height of the bumper (can't see it in this picture) so no need to worry about scratches. This way I get the car in the right spot each time and the jack is mostly out of the way unless I am working underhood in the garage.
Floor jacks should be seen on display in the garage in a place of honor. It should be big amd painted bold in orange & white. The floor jack is what seperates your garage from everyone else who whishes they had a garge where they could actually USE a floor jack.
