Where does your garage stand in your hood?

Have you had any issues with thost Shortshots? We put a set on my buddy's Dyna Glide and they started rusting. He sent them back and they sent him another set without any hassle...

No issues with the Shortshots other than rock chips from my gravel driveway Other than that I absolutely love them. I have a little over 1k miles on 'em.

Nice ride. You're lucky. I wish I could get my wife to learn to ride her own, but she don't want none of it. Says she's perfectly happy riding behind me...

My wife would not ride with me... would not even get close to the bike. I ended up putting a solo seat... Then one day she decides to take a motorcycle safety course and buy her own bike... There is no way in hell I will ever understand women...

Got a two car garage nothing fancy at all. My closest neighbor has a wood shop set up in his garage. He doesn't complain about my compresser or grinder and I don't complain about his saws running.

Other than that I don't believe anyone along the street does any type of work in their garage.

I have a 24x32 detached. Everyone in the cul de sac has a garage, but mine is the only functional garage. 3 are strictly for parking and the one neighbor's place is so junked up I've never seen the garage door open. I honesly didn't know it was a garage for the 1st few months I lived here because of the **** piled in front.

When I built mine, there were only two two-car garages on my street with only a few more single-car garages and a number of houses that didn't even have off-street parking. In the past fifteen years or so there are now two more garages almost as big as mine and one pre-fab metal building that is at least twice as large as mine.

I still have the most power, though. There are actually still some 60amp services on the street with quite a few 100amp services and then a few 200amp services. With a C320 service you can find my house on the street just looking at the meterbases.

I moved into my house in 1973. Survived with the existing 2 1/2 car concrete block garage till 1999. Tore it down and put up a two story garage measuring 36 X 42. Extended the roof of the house from the kitchen out to the garage making a nice breezeway. Since mine is a corner lot and the first house everyone sees when they come into the subdivision, I used split-face concrete block for the new garage.

Everyone in the neighborhood loves my set-up and some have even commented that my garage actually helped raised the value of the homes in our subdivision.

There are only three real car/shop/garage types in my entire subdivision as far as I have been able to determine. One is a retired Bell telephone guy that has a three car plus garage, some nice signs and some cool vintage stuff in his garage, and some tools, but is not tool heavy, then there is the guy down the alley with a small Morton building and he is really setup, he is heavily into SCCA racing and usually has several cars there, and since he used to be a Snap-on dealer in the day he is hand tool rich. He has nice Snap-on combo sets, but not the latest greatest etc. He does have a lift tire changing and balancing machines, great organization, many odds and ends tools. Then you have my cramped two car garage. I am tool heavy both hand and power (not so much as OCG) but I am way over crowded for my space. I do have capabilities and skills neither of my neighbors do with a lathe, mill and shaper. One of these days I will move and get that bigger building I so desperately need. My neighbors garages are less cluttered than mine for sure, but they have a lot more space, and less in machine tools than I have too.
