There were questions on starting a forum for jacks and lifts all their own, at one time I saw a poll asking whether we members want that or not. I guess the answer was "NO" since it never appeared. but I see threads on them in several forums here on GJ.
If there is gonna be no seperate forum where exactly do threads on lifts and jacks "belong"? I have found ancient threads here on GJ that are pertinent by looking up related things on google. I have threads, comments and questions on lifts and jacks here on GJ myself, spread among different forums...
So is it a fair question to ask where these sort of things "should" go?
I want to do a "catch all" on my lift; from finding it on CL, to having to dismantle it at the seller's place, to some of the rehab and maintenance (mostly "preventive") I have done to pix of the powdercoat job my son did on it before he changed jobs, "teething pains" that come up as I put it up here at my garage... and (maybe) combine/drag some of my own past posts into one thread...

Im not saying a "Sticky" necessarily. Some do chronicles of their garage builds or tool box restos etc here, kinda thinking the same thing here without scattering posts all over...
Others searching for info on lifts and floor jacks would also find it easier if the posts on them were generally in 1 forum.

I would think they should be under tools?

yeah that was what I was thinking but there's as many posts about them under "general garage" if not more, than in tools. and a couple in Electrical and elsewhere...

Awwww, man.... I don't want to join another forum, as I can barely keep up with the goings on now.

yeah I know that's one reason I actually asked the question that I did as topic of this thread!

no worry as there is almost nothing happening at that forum... looks brand new just starting out.
