thanks

Google testing labs in your area.
Most labs I deal with can turn around results in an hour if you pay more.
24 hours is standard.
What is the vintage ?
It was banned in the US for most residential application in the 80s.
I have seen asbestos test kits at Home Depot for $7.50 that you send in for analysis, which is another $40. I presume you are wearing respiratory protection while removing the popcorn ceiling. If you are you and the material is wetted properly it shouldn't be pose an exposure hazard. Use dishwashing soap (Dawn, Joy) to make amended water for a solution that keeps the material wetted longer. Once you are done vacuum the area thoroughly using a vacuum with HEPA filtration.
