Where have all the cheap generators gone?

I was looking to pickup a 1000w small generator for SHTF or long power outages. Tractor Supply had some Champion ones for under $200. Can't find anything under $200. I had picked up an Ironton 1000w from Northern Tool a few years back for about $100 and made the mistake of leaving Ethanol blended gas in it.

Where have the cheap one gone? Supply chain problems? Hurricanes?
